Pierre Tessier and Monique Des Rosiers are the owners of DouceSoeur. Their passion for chocolate being common, they decided to give birth to DouceSoeur chocolate factory, in Montreal, in 2007.

DouceSoeur's success is based on commitment and innovative vision.

Monique, a leader, manages the company's operations and is a good business manager. Her talents have earned her admission to prestigious trade shows and a finalist for the 2012 ESTim award from the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Montreal.

Together, Pierre and Monique travel, perfect their skills and experiment to stay on top of the latest trends in order to satisfy their clients.

The name DouceSoeur is a play on words that has two meanings. It refers to the chocolate "sweets" made by the company and also refers to the contribution of Louise Des Rosiers, Monique's sister, who played a leading role in the start-up of DouceSoeur.

They later modified their mother's family recipe for butterscotch and made the famous and popular Croquenbouche.
