You have your day in your body and you have to cook dinner and lunches for the next day... We sometimes cut corners (🙈) and the body verbalizes it in its own way with drops in energy, skin reactions, stomach aches, weight loss or gain🙃...

Ordering, eating on the run, or snacking isn't a long-term solution, and like every year, we're trying to adopt better lifestyle habits 💪. So, if eating well without taking too much time is on your list of resolutions, this article is for you 🥰

Here are 4 solutions for nutritious, tasty meals that, above all, aren't a hassle!

Meal boxes

Isabelle Huot offers several options , either 20 vegetarian meals, 20 protein meals or fresh meals. We tried the vegetarian box and we were surprised by the choice of dishes which is very varied👋! In all honesty, it's an excellent, easy and quick fix. It sometimes lacks salt, but for some people this can be an advantage 😋

👉 How we use it: We have some in the office freezer, so if someone forgets their lunch, we always have a nutritious meal option.

Meal supplements and replacements

We have several on Simplitude, not many, but really all different, tested and approved 😁:

Ready-to-cook meals

This is the category that will save your life! Whether it's for desserts or main courses, whether for entertaining or for a weeknight meal, they are really easy to make, some are quick, and require very few or no added ingredients. Ready-to-cook meals are easy and have a wow effect at the same time🔥

👉 How we use it: We always have some in our pantry! We either follow the recipe to the letter or we innovate. For example, for Asian soup , we use it as a base and add tofu, vegetables, etc.

Batch cooking

The art of planning your week! A while ago, Audrey was an "expert" in batch cooking 💪 She prepared meals from Monday to Thursday in a maximum of 3 hours on Sunday, including dishes and cleaning the kitchen. And no, she didn't eat the same thing every day 😂

  • Cook a few complete meals like lasagna, shepherd's pie, etc., but not too many. Otherwise, you'll be eating the same thing all week, and it's not worth making a small portion. Or, you can make some, but freeze half so you have prepared meals in case you get caught up.
  • Cook each vegetable, each starch, each protein independently. This way, during the week you create your own dish with everything you've cooked, like a buffet, but in your fridge!
  • Think productivity: the oven must be full and all cooking rings must be working at the same time and reuse the cooking water as much as possible. There must be no bottlenecks. The goal is to never wait for something 😅
