Why Subscription Becomes Mandatory on Simplitude (and What It Changes for You)

Since Simplitude's inception, our mission has been clear: to make buying local and eco-responsible accessible and simple for everyone. But for that to truly work, we need a business model that supports both:

• Our members, with discounts that really make a difference.

• Our suppliers, by giving them maximum margin so that they can continue to offer local, quality products.

• And of course, Simplitude as a company, so that we can continue to exist and serve you.

To achieve this, we must make an important adjustment today:
Subscription is now mandatory to shop on Simplitude.

Concretely, what does this change for you?

• If you are not yet a member:
  You'll need to sign up for an annual subscription to access member products and pricing. Don't worry: we offer a 14-day free trial, and our "pay it back or your money back" policy still applies.

• If you are already a member:
  Nothing changes… or almost! You can continue shopping as usual, but:

  • Current subscription renewals will be automatically canceled.

  • At the end of your current term, you will need to resume a subscription through our new system to continue having access to member prices.

  • To thank you and make the transition easier, the subscription is $59 instead of $96 during the introductory period.

• If your subscription is about to expire, you have three choices:

  1. Wait until your period ends and resume a subscription at that time.

  2. Switch to the new system now to take advantage of the launch promotion.

And for members of the seasonal discovery box?

The box will now be available only individually, for Simplitude members with an active subscription.
Recurring box subscriptions will be stopped, but if you already have a subscription, you will continue to receive your boxes until the end of your current period.

Why are we making this change?

Honestly: to continue to exist and grow in a healthy way.

Our model works a bit like a triangle:

➡️ In return, we donate most of the profits to our suppliers, who can then offer you exclusive discounts.
➡️ Everyone wins: you save money, local artisans make more profits, and we get paid mainly through subscriptions.

But for this to work in the long term, subscriptions need to become the norm. This is the key to continuing to offer you a local, eco-responsible, and high-quality selection at prices that make sense.
