  • The story begins in 1872, when Louis Monna founded an eponymous company specializing in the manufacture of wines and spirits in the Hérault region of France. Around 1925, his son Émile founded the Source la Monnaguette distillery, producing spirits and lemonades, while his sister Louise took over the family business with her husband, continuing its mission under the name Pin-Monna Successeur.

    Proud of this heritage, Émile Monna fils sets sail for Quebec City, where he teaches the rudiments of the trade to his children, including Bernard, founder of Cassis Monna & Filles. Catherine and Anne, the 5th generation of liqueur-makers, ensure the estate's continuity.
