- Ténébrion gourmand
-
Mealworm-based spread flavored with pink pepper, garlic, curry, herbs or plain.
- Our spreads are a good source of protein, but unlike vegetable sources of protein, they have a much higher protein rating and contain vitamin B12, which is often deficient in a strictly vegan diet.
- Compared with the liver pâtés they mimic, our spreads are rich in healthy monounsaturated fats rather than saturated fats, and contain much less cholesterol.
- Even if the taste and texture of our spreads are similar to those of a treat, they are a healthy, complete food that can be eaten without limit.
Find out more about Ténébrions Gourmand :
- Local economy: Our spreads are produced in the city from milling mealworms raised in the city and fed with food residues from the same city, namely brewers' grains from urban microbreweries.
- We source our mealworms from TriCycle, an urban farming method that involves no fertilizers or pesticides, unlike traditional or even vegan agriculture.
- Raising insects generates fewer greenhouse gases than meat. For the same amount of protein, chicken produces 23% to 167% times more GHGs than insects, and up to 1200% more for beef.
- Our product does not involve animal suffering.
