Miel de la garde

PropoMiel is a happy blend of organic honey and organic propolis.

We harvest the organic propolis at the end of the season and mix it with organic wildflower honey. PropoMiel is tasty in addition to containing the virtues of propolis.

Our organic propolis has been analyzed by the INAF (Institute for Nutrition and Functional Foods). The results indicate the presence of several polyphenols, for example: pinocembrin, flavonoids, ferulic acid, coumarin and salicylic acid.

What is propolis?

Propolis is a substance produced by bees from plant resins, balms and wax. Bees use propolis to cleanse and protect the hive.

Propolis has antibiotic, healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in flavonoids, phenolic compounds and essential oils.

The distinctive aromas of propolis added to the rich flavors of our organic honey give our PropoHone an exquisite and unparalleled taste.

It all started in 2015, in Prévost, in the Lower Laurentians, when neighbors moved. The latter owned three beautiful beehives. Already interested in insects and the environment, we offered to act as bee keepers.

A beautiful and great love story with bees began!

Miel de la Garde now operates around 300 beehives in the Rivière-du-Nord valley. This positioning allows us to certify our organic honey (certified organic by Québec Vrai). We have become, over time, breeders of queens!

Miel de la Garde offers around twenty beehive products. From organic honey to body care products based on propolis, we offer you an immersion in the hive through our high quality products.
