Plastic is found in many everyday products and we are trying to reduce it as much as possible. We are therefore offering you a pretty bamboo version to replace the colorful plastic plates that our children love so much! They will fall in love with these cute and trendy elephants and bears!
We kept the silicone pacifier for safety, as it helps keep the plate firmly in place. Note that this silicone is BPA and phthalate free.

Bamboo cultivation is done without the use of pesticides or insecticides.
Bamboo forests absorb 35% more CO2 than a regular mixed forest.

Use & maintenance:
Hand wash the plate and make sure to dry it thoroughly before storing. You can remove the silicone pacifier to ensure the area under the silicone is thoroughly dried.
The plate is treated with corn and soy based oil, to maintain its quality we suggest applying a thin layer of natural vegetable oil occasionally.
Use a brush or cloth to cover the plate with oil and wipe off the excess with a clean cloth.
Please note that laser engraved designs may fade with wear, rubbing, and washing.
Important: Do not put the plate in the dishwasher or microwave.
How to dispose of it:
If properly cared for, the plate should last for years, so feel free to pay it forward and give it to another child if yours outgrows it.
At the end of its life, you can place it in the trash, as most compost facilities cannot handle larger pieces of bamboo/wood.
Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource with antimicrobial properties. Additionally, the moso bamboo used in our toothbrushes is a type of bamboo not consumed by pandas. It grows naturally without the addition of chemicals. The handle is 100% biodegradable. The nylon bristles are flexible enough to reach every corner of your mouth to keep your teeth healthy. It's a great alternative to plastic.

Making a difference means starting with small gestures. Our adventure began with the bamboo toothbrush, because it's an item we'll use our entire lives and it's (almost) always made of plastic! But we weren't going to stop there! A ton of utilitarian objects are disposable and pollute enormously.
Hence the creation of our various other eco-friendly products, such as our reusable bamboo utensils and straws, our reusable makeup remover pads, our eco-friendly dental floss and much more!
Social economy
For OLA Bamboo, social involvement is an integral part of the company's mission. That's why we do business with Re-Source Intégration, a social economy enterprise located in Gatineau, which employs more than 100 people with disabilities, whether intellectual disabilities, physical limitations, or mental health issues. We also work with Pivot Centre-du-Québec, located in Drummondville, which is a psychosocial rehabilitation service through the medium of work. Recovery participants are people aged 18 and over living with a mental health issue.
Whether it is for the assembly of certain products and displays or for the engraving of certain corporate products; it is a source of pride for us to work with these magnificent teams!
We plant trees
When you purchase an OLA Bamboo product, you are also participating in the planting of trees with Compensation CO2 Québec. It is very important for us to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the health of our beautiful planet. Since the beginning of the adventure, more than 2,000 trees have been planted in Notre-Dame des Bois and another 1,000 in Stratford, Quebec… thanks to you!
