Bamboo chopsticks sold individually (in sets of two) are perfect to add to your zero waste kit or utensil set.
They are non-toxic, healthy, and safe. Truly a great addition to your kitchen! Bamboo chopsticks are considered better than traditional wooden ones because trees take much longer to grow than bamboo. Also, wood is more prone to contamination (more susceptible to mold and deterioration) compared to bamboo.
Keep them with you to enjoy your favorite Asian dishes at any time. Note that they will stick out of the carrying bag, but once the bag is tied with a knot, they will stay in place.

Use & maintenance:
We recommend hand washing your bamboo chopsticks with warm, soapy water and drying them thoroughly before storing.
Dishwasher washing is not recommended as it may damage the protective varnish layer.
Ethically made in China.
Bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource with antimicrobial properties. Additionally, the moso bamboo used in our toothbrushes is a type of bamboo not consumed by pandas. It grows naturally without the addition of chemicals. The handle is 100% biodegradable. The nylon bristles are flexible enough to reach every corner of your mouth to keep your teeth healthy. It's a great alternative to plastic.
Our mission is to help reduce plastic waste by offering accessible and easy-to-use eco-friendly products.
Making a difference means starting with small gestures. Our adventure began with the bamboo toothbrush, because it's an item we'll use our entire lives and it's (almost) always made of plastic! But we weren't going to stop there! A ton of utilitarian objects are disposable and pollute enormously.
Hence the creation of our various other eco-friendly products, such as our reusable bamboo utensils and straws, our reusable makeup remover pads, our eco-friendly dental floss and much more!
Social economy
For OLA Bamboo, social involvement is an integral part of the company's mission. That's why we do business with Re-Source Intégration, a social economy enterprise located in Gatineau, which employs more than 100 people with disabilities, whether intellectual disabilities, physical limitations, or mental health issues. We also work with Pivot Centre-du-Québec, located in Drummondville, which is a psychosocial rehabilitation service through the medium of work. Recovery participants are people aged 18 and over living with a mental health issue.
Whether it is for the assembly of certain products and displays or for the engraving of certain corporate products; it is a source of pride for us to work with these magnificent teams!
We plant trees
When you purchase an OLA Bamboo product, you are also participating in the planting of trees with Compensation CO2 Québec. It is very important for us to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the health of our beautiful planet. Since the beginning of the adventure, more than 2,000 trees have been planted in Notre-Dame des Bois and another 1,000 in Stratford, Quebec… thanks to you!
