Next Chance - Portrait "In love at home and in business"

For Valentine's Day, we've chosen to celebrate love, yes, but not like the one in the movies. The one in reality. And it's even more incredible, you'll see!

Through a series of portraits, we introduce you to companies as you're not used to seeing them. We're going to talk about love and business, subjects sometimes perceived as difficult to combine, and yet, they brilliantly prove us wrong 🥰

Here is our second portrait: Next Chance

Next Chance consciously and differently designs eco-responsible products that preserve traditions and bring joy. Its primary mission: to reduce waste generated in both production and consumption.

To do this, Next Chance applies the concept of the circular economy: we recover new materials that would otherwise have ended up in waste to manufacture our products.

Every day, we work to ensure that Next Chance most faithfully represents its values. This process requires a great deal of research, time, and patience. However, it is important for us to develop ideas and relationships with partners who are conscientious, committed, and passionate. Next Chance aims to bring together those who are willing to do their part. We believe that collective effort can make a real difference.

The little love story ❤️

We met in a work context. We both had our own business practices and, through spending time together, we realized how complementary we were. At first, we saw a real " fit ." professional. Over time, we developed other feelings, and we've been a couple for over 5 years now, in addition to carrying out our projects together. Four years ago, we were looking to build a business that truly aligned with our values, and that's when our company, Next Chance, was born.

What do you think of the adage "birds of a feather flock together?"

(Maude) For us, it's not the case! We are so different. What unites us most is that we share the same vision and the same values.

(Gabrielle) Haha! I would say that for us, it's rather the opposite: " what complements itself comes together " . This is the strength and pleasure of our couple, we are always motivated to create professional and personal projects together.

What is your biggest challenge in combining love and business?

(Maude) We always try to separate our so-called personal moments from our professional ones. It's less obvious when we're stressed about an aspect of the business and we'd like to talk about it, or when we want to share some good news, for example.

(Gabrielle) Financial security! We often hear about couples where one of them has a stable job, but that's not the case for us. Our challenge is to get Next Chance off the ground quickly so we can make a living from it. ;)
