How to choose the perfect gift for a teacher?

Every year, you ask yourself the same question: what am I going to give my child's teacher?

Personally, I find it very difficult because we don't necessarily know the person's tastes, we don't want to offer something they already have and we want it to be useful, even if it means spending money haha! And we want the gift to please, they are important people, those who take care of my child when I'm not there ❤️

It gets easier and easier over the years. As a co-owner of a company that advocates values of sustainability and respect for the environment, I thought it would be good to provide some sort of guide/tips based on my experience.

Prioritizes utility and functionality

Gifts that are useful in your daily life as a teacher are always appreciated. Opt for practical gifts such as food items (eating is essential 😅), notebooks , reusable bags , reusable bottles or snack bags . These items are both functional and environmentally friendly, we love that!

If you're not sure, opt for a gift card!

If you don't know the person's tastes well or want to give them a choice, a gift card is a safe option. You can choose a gift card for a grocery store , a bookstore, a school supply store, or even a spa, so the teacher can choose what suits them best.

Choose something touching.

Personalized or handmade gifts can be very touching. For example, your child could create a small pottery tray or write a thank-you note on a beautiful handmade card to express their gratitude to the teacher. These personal gestures are often greatly appreciated and don't take up much space.

Think about class!

Consider gifts that will benefit the entire class. For example, you could offer a magazine subscription that can be shared and used by both the teacher and students. Many teachers fund their own teaching materials, so a little help can only go a long way!

Choose packaging that can be reused.

When wrapping your gift, choose reusable packaging . Not only does this reduce waste, but it also makes it part of the gift!
