Unfiltered female entrepreneurship - Herbanica

In honor of International Women's Day, we're giving a voice to women who inspire us with their vision of female entrepreneurship. Through short questions and answers, we discover them from a perspective we don't usually see, read, or hear.

We give the floor to Louise, the founder of Herbanica , who chose to write a magnificent letter to the person she was before becoming an entrepreneur ❤️

A message from me, version 2023, to my younger self of 1995, the budding entrepreneur. It's a message I want to share with all young women entrepreneurs and with my 24-year-old daughter, Marianne, founder of uniteshop.ca.

You say you want to change the world, but in reality, you want to make it better by sharing your knowledge and being 100% there for those who need you, your creations and your advice.

Today, a quarter of a century later, I bring you four suggestions drawn from the entire collection of "OUR Wisdom" and our experience as women entrepreneurs. I think you'll appreciate their impact.

Suggestion #1: Take your first step now. Move forward and “Act now.”

No matter how many Excel spreadsheets you fill out, logos you design, or mission statements you write, none of it will compare to the euphoria of making your first sale or holding your finished, packaged product in your hands.

I'm writing this to you and I still feel it. 😊

Suggestion #2: Trust yourself and cultivate positive self-esteem

It's cliché, but I know you. I have to write it to you.
You are worthy of being loved, of being respected.
And most importantly, you are capable of anything, even when it feels like everything is falling apart around you. There is ALWAYS a solution.

Suggestion #3: Take care of yourself as you take care of the people you love.

Because I know you, you're going to think, "Me? Of course I'm fine! I'll take care of myself once..."

You have your physical and psychological limits. And you also have a little voice – your conscience – that gives you signs from time to time. You will ignore these messages for many reasons. You will learn that it is right and that it is there to guide you… and that it is as hard-headed as you are 😉

You will learn that you are your own best friend.

Your empathy and generosity are two qualities that are reflected in everything you do.

It's true for you too.

Suggestion #4: Connect with people and listen to what they have to teach you.

There are all kinds of people who will cross your path. Listen to what they have to say. You're self-taught, but their experience will be useful to you.
Connect with these people. Share with them while remaining authentic and whole.
